✨ Why This Cake is Special

A layer of moist vanilla and rich chocolate in one cake

Caramelized pineapple topping that brings a tropical flair

Easy to make with everyday ingredients

Beautiful, eye-catching, and seriously tasty!

🎂 Ingredients:

For the Vanilla-Chocolate Cake (Marble Style):

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

¼ tsp salt

½ cup unsalted butter (softened)

¾ cup sugar

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ cup milk

2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (mixed with 2 tbsp hot water)

For the Pineapple Topping:

4–6 pineapple rings (fresh or canned, drained)

3 tbsp brown sugar

2 tbsp melted butter

Optional: maraschino cherries for the center of the rings

👩🏽‍🍳 Directions:

1. Preheat and Prepare

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease a round or square cake tin. If you're using pineapple rings, line the bottom of the pan with them.

2. Make the Topping

In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and melted butter. Pour it over the bottom of your cake pan and place pineapple slices on top. You can add cherries to the centers if you like!

3. Mix the Batter

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.

In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk, until fully combined.

4. Divide and Add Cocoa

Split the batter in two bowls. Mix cocoa paste into one half to create the chocolate batter.

5. Create a Marble Effect

Spoon the vanilla and chocolate batters alternately over the pineapple. Use a knife to swirl slightly for a marble effect (don’t overmix).

6. Bake

Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes, then carefully invert the cake onto a plate so the pineapple is on top.

🍫 Tips for the Best Cake:

Use fresh pineapple for a bolder, tangier flavor

For extra moisture, brush the cake with a little pineapple juice before serving

Want to go all out? Add a layer of whipped cream or chocolate drizzle on top!

This vanilla chocolate cake with pineapple topping is the perfect blend of cozy and exotic. The flavors balance beautifully, the texture is soft and rich, and the pineapple gives it a fruity surprise in every bite.
