Vanilla cupcakes are a classic, and today I’m sharing my go-to recipe that never fails—soft, moist, and easy to make even if you’re just starting out in baking!
Ingredients:
1½ cups all-purpose flour
½ cup sugar
½ cup butter (room temperature)
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla essence
½ cup milk
1½ tsp baking powder
A pinch of salt
Steps:
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C. Line a cupcake tray with paper liners.
2. In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well. Mix in the vanilla essence.
4. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
6. Spoon batter into cupcake liners (¾ full) and bake for 18–20 minutes.
Let them cool and frost with your favorite buttercream—or enjoy plain with chai!
Tip: For extra flavor, add a drop of lemon zest or a splash of coconut milk.
